Garage-Sale Finds

Last weekend, J and I hit up some garage sales. As usual, some were awesome, and some were just... shall we say... laughable? Seriously, people. Please do not try to sell me a cracked plate made in China for $15.00. It insults my intelligence.

But anyway. I did find some fun loot! I always feel like a pirate when I say that. Argh!

Like this lovely set of thing-a-ma-bobs:

And these super-cool, retro plastic thingies:

I already know what I'm going to do with those! However, the glass bottles I am unsure of. They were just too cool to pass up! What do you think? Any fun ideas?

I think they might be cool for holding spices, or beads, but if you have other ideas I would love to hear them!

  1. Aren't garage sales funny? It's amazing the prices people put on stuff, for good or bad.

The glass jars are fun, but I don't know what I'd do with them either. Sea glass would look neat in one but 5 seems a bit too much.

  3. Ohhh, stick a gerbera daisy in each one after painting the black holder thingy.

  4. Those glass bottles are great! Love the flower idea, or herbs, or even colored glass pieces that match the surrounding decor...

  6. You could put office supplies in those bottles - paper clips, rubber bands, couple of pencils, etc. Would be so cute sitting on a desk. Great finds!

  7. You thing-a-ma-bobs remind me of the Soda Bottle Vases from Urban Outfitters. They would be so cute as bud vases!
